The Internal Medicine Festival 2026 (IMF 2026) is the premier annual gathering organized by the Dhaka Medical College Internal Medicine Interest Group (DMC IMIG) under the patronage of the American College of Physicians (ACP) Bangladesh Chapter.
Conceived to champion clinical acumen, evidence-based therapeutic decision-making, and bedside excellence, IMF 2026 unites budding clinicians from medical colleges across Bangladesh in high-yield academic exchanges.

A rapid-fire, buzzer-based diagnostic tournament featuring qualifying teams from 18 medical colleges nationwide. Rounds cover:
- Complex electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation
- Emergency acid-base and electrolyte dilemmas
- Rare multisystem autoimmune presentations
- High-stakes pharmacology & antimicrobial stewardship
2. Clinical Skills & Resuscitation WorkshopsHands-On
Trainees rotate through supervised simulation stations led by clinical registrars:
- 1.Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) Mastery: Systematic Henderson-Hasselbalch approach, winter's formula, delta-delta gap analysis.
- 2.Advanced Rhythm Interpretation: Identifying VT vs SVT with aberrancy, Brugada patterns, and fascicular blocks.
- 3.Bedside Lumbar Puncture & Paracentesis: Procedural safety, aseptic precautions, and CSF manometry.
3. Scientific Research & Clinical Abstract PresentationResearch
Undergraduate researchers and interns presented 24 peer-reviewed clinical abstracts covering hospital-acquired infections, emerging arboviral outbreaks, and unusual presentations of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
